2011
Welcome to our last Beauty Bulletin for 2011! Thank you for having me and all my makeup photos and crazy, DIY beauty tips in your inbox this year! I hope spending time with me has truly been 'a beautiful education'.
A couple of highlights for Lillybeth in 2011:
Records: By midnight this New Year's Eve, I'll have exceeded my goal of 300 'faces' by one hundred! Yes, I'll have personally taught and applied makeup to over 400 people in 2011.
Celebrities: I applied makeup for Mary Lambie in March (for a speaking engagement), and for Jackie Clarke in September (as star of Tarnished Frocks & Divas retro fashion show).
Firsts: My first fashion shoot booking (For Sisters Boutique), first magazine makeup (for a 'Real Life Story' in Woman's Day), first TV commercial (For Waiariki polytech, airs on TVNZ in January) and my first Asian bride (for Taiwanese Angel's wedding).
Unexpected Growth: Due to demand, two Lillybeth-approved makeup artists are now also available - Julie Eagle & Kym Tapsell.
If you count yourself as a 'Lillybeth' customer, friend or supporter, thank you! If you have enjoyed these Beauty Bulletins or any part of what Lillybeth stands for, come share what you've enjoyed or what you'd like to see from me in 2012, by writing it on my Facebook page!

LATEST FEEDBACK: Mini Makeup Lessons
WHAT CUSTOMERS HAVE SAID about their hands-on mini makeup lesson with Lillybeth:
"Thank you so much for the confidence you've given me to choose makeup to buy...I'm looking forward to receiving the foundation from you so I can practice on my own with the tips and techniques you gave me this morning." (Kay)
"I had a great lesson and really enjoyed the makeup for the rest of the day! The eyes looked and felt gorgeous and I really like the feel of the powder. I will definitely recommend a mini makeup lesson to anyone who might be interested! It made me realise that the orange/gold thing was not a good colour combo for me! Thank you for the tips - I will try to look into pinks and neutrals/browns as a different option." (Sarah)
"Thank you for last Saturday. I did enjoy it and felt pretty good walking around Bayfair afterwards. I think they were all impressed at home as well." (Tina)
To give the gift of confidence through a mini makeup lesson, purchase a voucher today, and your $89 lesson will include a FREE $20 product credit. Give yourself or someone you love a grand entrance to 2012!
FACE OF THE MONTH
When I was already booked on her wedding date, I offered bride-to-be Ihipera Ulu one of my approved makeup artists, Kym Tapsell, for her November wedding. I didn't have a portfolio of Kym's work to show Ihipera, since Kym had recently returned to working as a freelance makeup artist after four years of tutoring makeup. Neither did I have any feedback or reviews from brides to give, as Kym hadn't collected these from when she was last actively working as a makeup artist.
But Ihipera booked Kym on my word. And she was glad she did! Here's what Ihipera said:
"Kym was absolutely fantastic! Our make up lasted all day...even with the many tears of joy that flowed! The day couldn't have been better and we all had such a blast. :-) So, so pleased with the natural looking end result. Thank you so much for all your assistance in making the whole process so easy and to Kym for her cheerfulness and amazing talent."
